Chicago FF injured by drunk driver

A Chicao FF assigned to Engine Company 122 was injured by a drunk driver while operating at the scene of a MVA on a Chicago expressway. The rig was positioned in lanes of traffic while emergency crews operated at the accident. The drunk driver collided with the drivers side of the rig resulting in a arm injury. Illinois law mandates that all drivers change lanes and reduce speed when approaching emergency crews on highways.
