Out with my dogs in the snow, malmuettes/retreivers. Came in with them and heard some chatter. Now a 3-11, 3 story 300 x 150 @ 2444 W 21 st which is basically Western (2400 West) and 2100 South. Special call 2 extra towers, respond to 2200S/2400W. Heavy fire showing, know the area. Railroad viaducts and several dead-end streets restrict operations. Now a 4-11 and a EMS Plan 1 and a Haz-Mat 1. There will be more on this!

EMS Plan 1 (ambulance response) secured. Progress report, numerous heavy streams operating on West side of building with little effect.

4-11 and Haz-Mat secured by 2-1-3 (Boss man) No communications around, no progress reports. Enjoy what FDNY has, CFD is run by the CIA

3-11, 4-11 and some 2-11 supression are being released. And congrats to those who are being promoted, yes it is a hard and demanding process. And a Happy and SAFE New's Year for all on this site, you guys are the best and the smartest of the best. Have forgotten more than I will ever know.

Engine 8 and Truck 4 are assigned to the Chinatown area of Chicago, both rigs carry Chinese numerical designations.

Hey Grump, The older Seagrave Snorkel 85' with no designation is not in service is it? The operating with Squad 1A and the other tower ladder.

The older Seagrave Is Reserve Snorkel-1, special called to the big jobs, and is brought to the scene by companies where it's quartered........

Yes it is a reserve snorkel, manned by the company it is quartered with. It is @ E35/T28 (new rig for them). It is a 1982 Seagrave Pierce, #G-466, 85'. Sorry for the delay in posting, taking down the outside lights while the temps are 10+.
