From the Kramdom Family and Norton Family in Brooklyn's Bed Sty on Chauncey St., to the small town of Mayberry, North Carolina, where Sheriff Andy Taylor and his deputy, Deputy Barney Fife, celebrated their Christmas, as we watched them on our TV sets, many years ago.
From 1972 to 1977 many of us watched a weekly program called: "Sanford and Son". The series centered around a junk dealer and his son in South Central Los Angelus called "Watts".
Here we see the characters, names of some you may remember; Bubba Baxley, Donna Harris, Rolo Lawson, Aunt Ester Anderson, and Lamont Sanford gathering around as Fred Sanford (the star of the show) sings a Christmas melody.
From 1971 to 1979, we were invited into the home of the Bunkers. There we joined, a Queens blue collar worker by the name of Archie, his wife Edith, his daughter Gloria and his son-in-law Michael Stivic, aka "Meathead".
In this Christmas Scene we join Archie and the rest of the family as he explains the real meaning of Christmas. In a way that only Archie could tell it.
