Just returned from the Code 3 day, here is the latest. 2009 releases are FDNY E-75 which appears to be a re-decal job, FDNY TL 33, Fire Expo 2009, FDNY E-85 in lime yellow, a San Francisco engine. The Christmas release is TL 114. The info on the 900 series ALF with a June 2010 release. There will be a FDNY closed cab version and a San Fancisco open cab model. 2011 release will be a "war years" version with the plywood coverings. :)

Grumpy,

Does that mean that the 2010 release of the ALF tiller will have an open tiller?

Has Code 3 released what company will be the 2010 release and what company will be the 2011 release?

Thanks,

ALF tiller is still a work in progress. The info that was available was a slide show of 10-15 shots showing the tooling of the rig. I was told that this rig is going to be very detailed. Company info is still up in the air. There will be both closed (FDNY) and open (SFFD) rigs available. Personally I think June 2010 is pretty optomistic, they are really dedicated to making an outstanding peice. :)

Doesn't the cab roof mounted toolbox look a little small? ???  Anyway, here's another view of the bucket and raised rear compartment areas of the model.

Looking at the hand out TL 114 is decked out in Christmas motiff. The sides of the rig are decorated in what appears to be Xmas lights with a wreath just forward of the rear duals. I think this is more of a Christmas rig, ala Yonkers engine than a front line rig. :)

The TL looks like crap.  The bucket is mounted wrong and the rear compartments are just a piece added on top of the old mold. There's not supposed to be any silver running across the middle of the doors.

OK guys here goes. My son had the chance to talk to John and they are aware of the bucket and tool box placements He has started recruit training in Arlington Hts Illinois and I don't get to talk to him as much. He was written up in Code 3 last year, he was a USMC FF at Al-Asad in Iraq and later did a year there as a contract FF. So there will be changes, so what you saw on I SPY ain't the finished product :) :) :)
