The Randolph District FD responded to a structure fire at 485 South Airport Road at 0132 hours. Fire started due to a combustible wall being too close to a metal flue pipe which ran up along the side of this old beautiful 2 story frame house. Fire rapidly spread throughout the attic and Randolph Firefighters advanced a handline into the 2nd floor gaining access through a door in the ceiling of a 2nd floor bedroom. Fire was darkened down in the attic and in the rear wall where hot air ducts ran. Assistance was received from the Farmville FD and Cumberland FD. Units cleared the scene by 0420 hours. This was an Amish Farm and by the next morning many Amish were on the scene beginning the rebuilding process.
