Da Bronx at 2:30

i was walking down the concourse and at 2700 Grand Concourse i looked up at a window on the 4th floor to see a light smoke condition. at first i thought mabye someone was spraying or it was a steam condition. But it smelled like burning wood so i called 911 i was transferred to the bronx co told the dispatcher of the situation told him 2700 Grand concourse there is smoke pushing out the window he ask for my number and cross street, anyway ladder 56 was there within a minute. anyway long story short does anyone know what was going on 56 raised their aerial just to bring it down. the guy in the apt seemed like a nut as the light smoke condition was coming out the window he was screaming everything is ok. i had no scanner but does anyone know what was the story and what code was transmitted?
