As a side note, the mentioned Captain of L55 was a Fr. (F.F.) in E296 until it was disbanded in 1960 and he went to L130 until he was promoted to Lt..

Fr. Keenan of E71, I believe became Capt of 41 Engine when they brought it back as a Squad and then Became Capt of 38 Truck

Yes .....& also John had been a LT in ENG*37 & a BC IN BN*15 .......his Son was in LAD*38 also.

I was working the 12 to 8am shift at Bronx fire communications (Dispatcher # 182). I remember the person who activated the ERS box 2521
saying there is a fire and people were jumping out of windows. At almost the same time every phone was ringing and all reporting
the same. In those days Rescuse 3 was quartered in Manhattan at Eng93 and Lad45. Few seconds after the box was transmitted Bronx Dispatchers special called Rescue 3. It was a very long night. Something I will never forget.
