Just curious to see if there was any history behind the dickey chore coats, I still see them being worn today and it looks like they've been around for a while, photo below is from Mike Dick.

I can't say too much more about those jackets, except I remember alot of the guys wearing them too. 

  But that picture Mike took sure does tell a story.

Gentleman on the left is ret. Fr. Tom Grimshaw-  who is known to probably 75% of today's job as the old guy in the Fitness Unit who could outdo them in probie school despite being 20+ years older!
