We do 12 hour tours, which are never guaranteed that we will be leaving after 12. A lot of 16 and 18 hours thrown in. We don't have lunch breaks, and we cover spots on the platform when one of us goes potty, or to get the meal.

We work the 25 group chart, just like the firefighters. We do mutuals, but can't do 24's. We work 2 days, 07x19, then 24 off. Two nights, 19X07, followed by 4 or 5 days off depending on where we are on the chart. Every three weeks we get a 5 day "swing" as we call it.

With the COs being combined, are the FADs moving between the boroughs or are they still assigned to one?

Most are assigned to a borough, with the junior folks being assigned to Dispatch Operations and detailed to a borough.  When staffing issues come up, folks are detailed from one side of the floor to the other, like Manhattan to Brooklyn, for a tour.

All of the boroughs are now combined at Metrotech as of now, correct? What are all the CO buildings being used for now?

I'm not sure but, I don't think the Bronx CO has moved to Metrotech.

Only Brooklyn, Manhattan, and SI are in MT. The Manhattan CO is undergoing a gutting and asbestos abatement. God only knows what is going on with the other two empty offices. The Bronx was renovated between 05 and 08, and Queens was renovated between 05 and 07.
