With Christmas a day away, 10 are homeless after a fire in a Rose Street Extension house that town officials say is an illegal 2-family.

Call came in around 13:30 reported by the neighbor as flames seen from the house. Units on the assignment Sq-5, Trk-3, Sq-1, E-4, R-1,R-3, Car 1,3,4,6. Eng 4 delayed due to heavy flooding. Squad 5 reports smoke visible while responding. Trk 3 reported working fire 2 story rasied ranch with smoke showing. Fire knocked down in about 10 mins. 2 pets removed from the residence. Scene turned over to the Fire Marshal.
