Incident Location: 552 Atlantic Avenue
On the night of Sunday, September 15th, 2024, the East Rockaway Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Atlantic Avenue off Ocean Avenue. Firefighters stretched two hand lines and put at least one hand line into operation for a fire on the second floor and in the attic of a two-story multiple dwelling. Firefighters had the fire quickly extinguished and its cause is under investigation. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and there were no reported injuries.
