Incident Location: 15 South Birthwood Drive
In the early morning hours of Monday, November 6th, 2023, the Elmont Fire Department operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Birchwood Drive South off Birchwood Drive North. Malverne was designated as the FAST and responded to the scene with Ladder 434. Valley Stream was requested for one and one to the scene. Firefighters put one hand line into operation for heavy fire on the second floor of a two-story Cape style private dwelling. Elmont Engine 703 and Ladder 708 were the first companies to arrive on scene. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Elmont Chief of Department Segovia [7010] had command of the incident. (Text Credit K2M)
