ENGINE 213 ASSIGNMENTS

As a kid I took an interest in E213 and went on the subway to visit them. I was invited to lunch. Great guys and and a neat little house.
Awhile back I made an assignment board for them using company locations from an old map. When I listen to the FDNY I follow their runs. They don't do a lot of running but get some pretty good workers. I recall that they did a lot of relocating back in the day.

Disbanded 1959...building still there has some of the architecture on front cornice see it was a firehouse.

ENG*213. 137 Powers Street, Brooklyn, NY. bet Graham & Manhattan Aves...Home Box was 259 Powers & Graham ....213 was in the old 35*BN....213 was disbanded 12-1-59 .....for many years after the bldg was used by the early local Meter Maids....it is still standing..... there was a fellow named Joe White who was an Auxiliary & a Buff in 213 during the '40s & '50s.....Joe also owned a Roofing Company on the block & had his name in tin on the face of the roof cornice.
