Odd question here....how much hose, supply and attack hose, does each engine carry? Is it the same for all engine co's? Or does each company fit it with what they fell they need?

All Engines carry a standard hose load, with some modification according to area. Most Engines have 2 hose beds of 1 3/4 hose with 6 lengths of 1 3/4 followed by 2 1/2 hose to fill out stretch. my particular engine has bed 1 with 6 1 3/4 and 14 2 1/2 due to long stretches into large md's. Bed 2 has 6 1 3/4 and 8 2 1/2. Bed 3 has 12 lengths of 2 1/2 for use in commercial fires or as needed. Bed 4 is 8 lengths of 3 1/2 hose used for supply to standpipes tower ladders or inline pumping. There is a front trash line with 2 lengths 1 3/4 for car or rubbish fires. For supply there are a few types of Hose for hydrant hook up, 35' five inch hose, 10' soft suction and then the 3 1/2 hose. Hope this helps

Along the same lines, what types of hose loads, types and amounts are carried by E9/Satellite 1, E72/Satellite 2, E284/Satellite 3, E324/Satellite 4, E159/Satellite 5, and E207/Satellite 6.  Each Satellite also has a backup engine, these are Engines. 24, 97, 330, 291, 152, and 210.  Also the types and amounts of hose carried by the airport hose wagons.

Thanks,

The Satellites carry large diameter hose and have no pumping ability. The water cannon is capable of providing up to 4700 gpm with a 3 1/2" smooth bore tip The hose is 5" with 4 1/2" couplings (1997 FDNY SOP). I believe the companion Engine Cos. carry the same hose as any other Engine. Can't remember if the Satellites carry 1000' or more of LDH.
