Is Engine 70 allowed to leave City Island to go to Orchard Beach? Also are they ever used anywhere besides the City Island area?

Engine only responds on City Island boxes.

70 goes off now too. Especially to Orchard Beach. They do all the summer EMS runs there.
Many years back Eng 70 was ordered by a staff chief to respond as a relief company to a fire in upper Manhattan. The dispatchers were directed to relocate an engine to 70's quarters & once they arrived, 70 was special called to Manhattan.
70 & L53 for years responded to Orchard Beach, Rodman Neck, and adjacent areas. That was stopped when 70 & 53 were made a Comb-company, & also again during bridge construction.
Going back in time, 70 had a second section assigned for weekend coverage.

Atlas, wasn?t that one or more of the Manhattan West Side companies (E?s 56, 74, or 76-2) that would trek out to Fantasy Island to sunbathe for the weekend back in the decades before 1950?
I remember in the mid 50?s seeing E70 run with 2 sections, their primary ?51 WLF and a ?47 ALF staffed with detailed FFs.
