what is the FAST-Truck and what they doing at a fire?

The FAST Truck is the samething as RIT.  Firefighter Assist and Search Team is just FDNY's fancy name for it.

RIT is Rapid Intervention Team.  In FDNY we don't use that term.  However most of the US does us RIT
