It saw a brief stint as a spare, at E257, and then took a trip to France.  It's now located on Governor's Island.

The question know is were is it since Governer's Island fire unit was disbanded.

The rigs at the Island will stay, just no staff.  In case there is something on the island we can bring man power over and staff those rigs.

From what I understand the firehouse is totally empty and no apparatus left on the island.

That wouldn't make any sense at all.  While there isn't sufficient demand for fire protection to keep manpower there there is certainly enough potential to be worried about a fire.  The delay to move equipment to the island would be extremely long and any fire would have consumed the original fire building (or more) prior to having resources available to fight the fire.  Getting Manpower to the island is much simpler And can be done quite rapidly.
