Fireman Farley died as a result of injuries sustained December 23, 1963, when he fell down the stairs at a subway station while on duty.
Fireman Bartholomew V. Foley of District Office 6 died from injuries he received on December 23, 1963. He was assigned to District Office 6 from Ladder 44 on September 24, 1960. He was a member of the Department since May 1, 1935 and spent his entire career at Ladder 44 before being transferred to the District Office. He was fifty-seven years old.
