Fireman Grieco died as a result of injuries he sustained in the performance of duty.
Charles J. Grieco, 43, of 29 Ivy Road, died of a heart attack Tuesday at Peekskill Community Hospital. Born in New York City, Dec. 14, 1924. Mr. Grieco was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was employed as a fireman in the New York City Fire Department for 16 years. Mr. Grieco was a resident of Shrub Oak for 10 years and formerly lived in the Bronx. He was a communicant of Blessed Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, a member of the Holy Name Society and a president of the Ivy Knolls Association.
