Looking at those numbers today and they are staggering.

I think the most multiples for one month occurred in July. 1977. Of course that included the Blackout of "77 and the major Boro Call in Brooklyn's Bushwick section. I think according to the Fire Bell Club Newsletter for that month, there were a total of 100 Citywide Multiple Alarm fires.

'Staggering' Numbers Indeed !
I know a guy who appears here Occasionally, (he shall remain Nameless), who worked on a certain Truck Co.
on Sheffield Ave. in Bklyn (POSA), who's told us that during the War Years they'd come in to work a 6 x
and Occasionally got back to The House by 9 A.M.

For Me - this means I must have read Dennis Smith's 'Report from Eng. Co.82' in 1970 and decided to become a FF.
By various Twist & Turns ... I didn't get on to the Emergency Services until I became an E.M.T. in Broome Co. NY in '91.
My 1st Yr. I did just over 200 E.M.S. Runs, & the next 4 Yr.s  was Steady at 210-220.
I also worked in the E.R. @ Binghamton Gen. Hosp. at the time ... God Only Knows ( Really), How Many Pt.s,
but probably around 250 CPR's. (Some even survived). Numbers !
