Lieutenant William F. Jeffery, 54 - Engine 126 (226)
Fireman Michael J. O'Toole, 24 - Ladder 55 (105)
Battalion Chief Coppinger, Lieutenant Jeffrey, and Fireman O'Toole were killed when operating the water tower at the Arbuckle Coffee Company fire after a wall had collapsed on them. Lieutenant Jeffrey and Fireman O'Toole were killed instantly. Battalion Chief Coppinger was found alive, but died shortly after he was taken to the hospital.
