The idea of EMS boats is interesting. With the 2 new boats on the way it looks like the marine division is getting some attention after years of neglect.

In every way possible! 

It's really interesting the number of small boats that will be added both for fire and EMS.  Obviously they found a way to get Federal money during these tight economic times since I'm sure the money is coming out of the city budget.  If everything planned happens they will certainly have the best marine division in the world!

Good rundown on the features?  Does anyone know if any "stimulus" money is being used for FDNY upgrades/improvements etc?
