FDNY Uniforms

Does anyone know the brand of FR Uniforms the FDNY is currently wearing?

FDNY uses Hoarce Small for our uniforms.  They are 100% cotton and no longer do we use FR clothing.

At some point it was said the FR was no longer needed because of bunker gear.

FDNY Bunker coats are a little harder to come by these days.  Due to security that don't let them get into the public like in the past.
Also it's all issued to the member and the property of the city, so you have to give it back to them when you retire.

You can try Ebay but FDNY watches for stolen coats being sold so they try to stop most auctions of FDNY gear.  Even more so after a few people dressed up in gear purchased of EBay.

Hello again,

What is the style or catolog name or number of shirt from Horace Smalls. I would venture to say its custom to the department.

I am trying to compare prices between Flying Crosses 100 % Cotton and Horace Smalls 100% cotton. I cant seem to find the exact shirt that you guys at FDNY wear.

Also, do they hold up pretty good or do they get ratty pretty quick?

As far as the shirts.
We have had a problem with things holding up, pants always have been a problem, they loose the color and the bottoms get very ragged.  Some of the newer ones seem to be better.

The last shirt I got issued is marked "union line"..
I will say that the last set of shirts and pants were much better then others.
