I have the “War Year’s” DVD’s. I actually sent an emails one day to see if they had additional videos laying around, or if they could make me something (like a dvd, I would have paid very very well for it) but I was somewhat told no. Bummer, these videos need to be kept alive

I know that many of those FDNY War Years videos have been posted on this site, either in the History or Videography Section.
It's not the same as having your own DVDs to watch, but thanks to some of our members here, we have many of those videos, as well as others.

Thanks to this great website, we still have many of those videos from 40-50 years ago that have been preserved to tell the stories of those very busy FDNY War Years.

"R1SmokeEater" has posted many videos in the Videography section.
See: "Vintage FDNY Videos"

There are also many videos posted by members in "My Younger Buff Years" in the History section.
www.nycfire.net/forums/threads/my-younger-buff-years.3017/

I'm sure more can be found in other topics here as well.

There are hundreds of videos posted on many threads in our History Section, and many other Sections (Videography, Apparatus, General, etc). Unfortunately some of our older posted videos have non- functioning links which we work to update or delete.

You are right. These videos do need to be kept alive. We encourage posting fire-service videos, especially videos that may have had no previous circulation. We also encourage re-posting popular or previously posted videos to share with newer members and guests. It is important to save, share and view our history.
