FireFighter Dies after a floor collapse at Fire in Edinburgh, Scotland.

This was a Fire simmilar in size to a Third Alarm.

Crews are still turning over and damping down.

It doesn"t matter where you are, fighting fires is a Dangerous job. The smoke and heat is the same in Edinburgh, Scotland as it is in New York City.

Correct the only difference is the fire condition because here in the UK we use bricks  in buildings and America use other materials like wood. These bring different advantages and disadvantages one being that because here in Britain most fires are contained into 1 room ( or area) there is more chance of a Backdraft happening however there is less chance of a large amount of fire damage.

The funeral for Fire Fighter Williamson is on Wednesday the 22nd of July from the Fire HQ in Edinburgh.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his mother and sisters at this time.  RIP

On another note re this tragic incident.  The same fire crews attend another large fire about 500 yards from the 1 Ewan died at lastnight .  3 guys were hurt there.  Again thoughts and prayers are with them
