Firefighters assigned to different Co's

Quick Question:

When FF's are assigned / working OT in Different Co's do they wear the own helmets??

The other day i noticed a R3 FF working with R4 in Queens at a job & yesterday a R5 FF working with R2 in Bklyn

There were temporary Co inserts given out in the past for FFs working in another unit however most of these have been lost or are not worn....Officers on the other hand ....if there are none aqvailable .....they generally make one up out of cardboard etc.....nothing worse than reporting in to a Chief & having him say "what Co are you working in".
