Incident Location: 157 West Shore Road
Great Neck Alert Fire Company - Signal 10 - Fire In A Private Dwelling Under Construction (Vacant).
Earlier today at approximately 1:20pm, the Alert Fire Company was dispatched to a residence in the Village of Kings Point for a “General Alarm”. Upon arrival, a smoke condition was visible. A rapid scene size-up was conducted, at which point heavy fire was observed in the rear of the house in the vicinity of the 2nd floor. A “Signal 10” (working fire) was transmitted; mutual aid assistance was requested and received from multiple surrounding agencies and firefighters worked to quickly extinguish the fire condition. Firefighters conducted primary and secondary searches of the residence; which were thankfully negative. Multiple hose lines were stretched and the fire was brought under control. Thankfully, no one was injured. We thank all agencies who provided assistance at the scene as well as those who covered our district. (Text Credit: GNAFC)
