The Sub Base FD was dispatched to a fire at 0143 hours for fire out of a chimney on Driftwood Circle. Fire was in a two story duplex residence. Additional response was needed from New London FD, Poquonnock Bridge FD, City of Groton FD, Groton Ambulance, and Lawrence and Memorial Hospital Paramedics. Initially operations were hampered by a frozen hydrant. No injuries were reported.
