Could be a new rig for haz-mat1. The main truck has a small command post and usually has been getting replaced every 5 to 6 years.

They are replacing the same schedule as the heavy rescues I believe.  The special units gone a lot more runs and many of the runs are a lot longer than most of the regular units.  In addition, especially in the case of the rescues, the equipment they carry ways an awful lot.  I would imagine that the hazmat even have more miles than the rescues in many cases because it covers all 5 boroughs.

I think hazmat one is scheduled to be replace every 5 years now and rescues every seven.

Just wondering if the 2011 Ferrara Hazmat 1 is still in service or are they using the 2006 vehicle?
Just noticed that FDNYTRUCKS reposted the 2006 unit on his website.
