Hey guys wasn’t sure where to put this on the page and if it was allowed but, FDNY Firehouse Dog JT at Engine 74 in Manhattan needs your guys help. Recently JT had a severe medical emergency. His bladder ruptured due to kidney stones, that were undetected causing swelling in his stomach and abdomen. After 4 Days in the Hospital with Surgery and recovering he is back at the firehouse light duty but needs help with medical bills. If anyone can help FDNY Engine 74 I attached a gofund me made by FFs at Engine 74. Wish JT a speedy Recovery 🙏🏼

A truly worthy cause that I'm sure most visitors here will contribute to! From what it looks like now they won't have any trouble meeting the goal they have set for fundraising.

Hi Everyone,

First all of us at Engine 74 just wanna say thank you. We are amazed with how quickly this fundraiser for JT was able to raise the funds to help with his bills. Our goal will be we will try and reach each and everyone that donated to say thank you. We wanna thank all the amazing people on Instagram that spread the news and helped along this path. From Fdpup to newyorknico to themajestirum1 to everyone else that helped spread the word on social media and email. It would take days naming everyone but without you we wouldn’t have been able to pay JTs hospital bills.

JT has been doing well. We just checked in with the veterinarian from the AMCNY animals hospital on the east side of New York City. His stitches are healing nicely and will be able to go outside in a couple of days. He will be seeing a nutritionist at the AMCNY to help keep the kidney stones from forming in the future. Dalmatians are each unique in what they can be feed and JT is no exception so they will learn what caused them to form and put him on a diet that will help his body digest the food properly so they don’t form. The wonderful people at the FDNY Foundation dropped off a much better cone for JT so he can sleep better and not bump into so much stuff. We included a picture of his new cone. You can tell he wants to get outside being he is still so young as he will be 2 years old on April 10th. When he gets to go outside we will update you with another update.

Thanks again.
