Incident Location: 151 West Columbia Street
The Hempstead Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a working fire at 151 West Columbia Street off Washington Street on the evening of Friday, October 6th, 2023. Firefighters put one hand line into operation for a fire on the second floor of a two-story multiple dwelling. The fire was quickly knocked down and its cause is under investigation. All occupants made it safely out of the building and Hempstead Chief Joyce [80] had command of the incident. (TEXT CREDIT: K2M)
