Incident Location: 158 Cathedral Avenue
On the morning of Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, the Hempstead Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a well involved detached garage fire behind a home on Cathedral Avenue. Firefighters put two hand lines into operation and had the main body of fire quickly extinguished; however, extensive overhaul was needed due to the contents inside the structure including a vehicle. There were no reported injuries or extension to the residence and the cause of the fire is under investigation. (Text Credit K2M)
