Hempstead NY (Nassau) Bus Fire 6/16/22

On the night of Thursday, June 16th, 2022, the Hempstead Fire Department was called to a report of a NICE bus on fire at the intersection of Greenwich Street and Henry Street. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with a confirmed bus fire with the driver and all occupants self-evacuated. Firefighters put one hand line into operation and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down. The cause of the fire is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of Hempstead Chief of Department Sandas [80]. Text courtesy K2M Photography.
