Ice House Fire of Feb. 1, 1961

  I found this on facebook and contacted them regarding the correct date. This is one of the first "big" fires that I ever buffed, i was 10 years old but remember it like it was yesterday. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fdnyhome/sets/72157632667964794/

I don't have a card from that far back but here's one from 1975. The only changes were no L55 so trucks were 17 29 30 14 42 43 with L40 acting 14 and E53 went to E60. I remember seeing L38 relocated to L17 in the morning.

Gman although the date says Feb 1, 1957, some of the rigs in the photos look like rigs that were later than 1957. One photo shows a Mack C tiller of the 1959-1960 variety and some other photos show Mack C pumpers of the 1958 and up variety. Are thses the correct photos for the fire you are remembering?
