10:25 AM - #IFD Firefighters rescued an unconscious woman (64) from her apartment at 8575 Sedona Ridge Lane. When firefighters arrived, they found the unit heavily charged with thick black smoke, zero visibility and the remains of a still smoldering fire that did extensive damage to the interior. 2 cats perished. The woman was removed from the apartment to the exterior, where firefighters established ALS care and CPR. She was transported in critical condition to Eskenazi Hospital. IFD Fire Investigators determined the cause to be an overloaded power strip next to the couch.
