Incident Location: 116 Seaman Road
In the early morning hours of Sunday, November 17th, 2024, the Jericho Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Seaman Road off Leahy Street. Firefighters stretched and operated three hand lines for heavy fire in a two-story, split-level style private dwelling. The occupants made it safely out of the residence; however, one dog was trapped inside, later found, and unable to be saved. One firefighter sustained minor injuries while operating and was evaluated by medical personnel on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation and the scene was placed under control within approximately forty-five minutes. Jericho Chief of Department Foresto [9401] had command of the incident (Text Credit K2M).
