Incident Location: 53 17th Street
On the night of Sunday, June 9th, 2024, the Jericho Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] at a garden style apartment on 17th Street off Procop Avenue. Firefighters stretched two hand lines and put one hand line into operation for a fire in the kitchen of a second-floor unit. The fire was quickly extinguished before it could extend further, and its cause is under investigation. There were no reported injuries, and all fire department units were under the command of Jericho Chief of Department Foresto [9401]. (Text Credit K2M)
