I never had the privilege of meeting Ira. But I know he was friends to many members on here. They called him a "Fire Buffs Buff". As I understand it he was a fire dispatcher for the City of Jersey City, as well as a member of the Gong Club. He was well respected as well as a member of the Boston Sparks Association and was also know to buff the FDNY.

My condolences to all those on the loss of their good friend, Ira Rubin.
