Members of Nycfire.net, recently Joe Materia, aka "mack" was promoted to "Administrator" of this site.

That promotion came from this site owner Tommy Bendick.

This began when a few members of this site had some needs that had to be addressed and based on Joe's experience and willingness to help, this promotion took place.

Joe, has been very active on this site and has played a huge part in this sites most viewed topics on this site;
"FDNY NYC Firehouses and Fire Companies" started on Feb 12, 2012.

Then on Dec 31, 2017 after an issue caused him not to be able to continue he started "FDNY NYC Firehouses and Fire Companies - 2nd Section".

As many of us know, "mack" is a Retired US Army Colonel and later worked at the U.S. Pentagon, where much of his work involved computers and security. He has recently retired from that job.

I'm sure any of the members here who know him personally, will attest that we certainly have the right man for the job.

Some members have asked; "Did Retired Capt John Bendick get FIRED as our Administrator of this web site" ?

John Did NOT Get FIRED. He is STILL the overall Administrator of this entire web site.

However, as John himself puts it - "Joe, aka mack, has been assigned as Our Administrator of Technical Services".

This web site continues to grow and because Joe has been able to help so many members, as well as his computer skills he has put to work regarding a few issues, it was decided that he be offered this new position.

The entire Management team consist of: John B., aka "jbendick", Tommy B., "tbendick", Mike M., aka "truck 4", and Joe M., aka "mack", ALL a Group of Great Guys.

At the end of the line is Yours Truly., Bill D., aka "NFD2004". Referred by many as simply; "Willy D" (or to some - Uncle Wilfred).
Of course Uncle Wilfred has been given the title of "Moderator" on here.

Well friends, "so what does that mean" ?
Simply put; "it means that sometimes I DON'T have too many friends".

But the reality is this;
"It is YOU, the members of this group, who make it what it is".
Your stories, your rundowns, your answers to the many questions - "Everything Put Together - That Brings Us All Together".

THANKS GUYS - We ALL APPRECIATE What You Do.

Many Congrats Joe

I wouldn't be worried about Uncle Willy Dan......We need someone to keep an eye on Joe...he's dangerous when he starts his photo editing exploits :ROFLMAO:
Careful, Dec . . . or he'll fire up Photoshop and put your head on Willy's body, then publish it. Last time you'll ever get more than 2 words from any woman. :rolleyes: :ROFLMAO::rolleyes:
