E201’s quarters was in disrepair, L114’s was much better. E278 was disbanded & 40Bn moved in with E247.
All of E201’s guys, save the detailed MPO from E241, were killed on 9/11.
Next to E201’s firehouse was an empty lot, there used to be an old style diner on it.
The city, I believe eminent domained it & built the new firehouse. I believe in memory of those lost on 9/11 & on the footprint of the old firehouse. 40Bn & L114 moved down.
L114’s old house is still an FDNY building, used for another purpose & E278’s old house is used by FDNY EMS.
Hope....but & it's huge long shot with the companies that closed & of course the population & construction on the rise in those areas it would be common sense but this administration really doesn't care & the morons in their ears telling that's not the "hot topic" to address we all know it will never happen.Restoring any fire company is next to impossible in NYC.
A few land companies have been restored after being disbanded for three years or longer.Restoring any fire company is next to impossible in NYC.
Doubtful you have ever been to City Island.I personally think Ladder 53 should be given a second due area into Coop city..
