Laidlaw, British Columbia Dairy Farm Fire 10/27/15

Barn fires are even worse than church fires to fight!  In addition to the high load of flammable materials and big open areas they are also normally located in rural areas so water supply is a major issue.  I fought many of them in upstate New York when I was growing up as a volunteer firefighter and very seldom do you save one.  The best you can really do is save the surrounding structures and hopefully get the animals out alive like they did here.
