Description: Major brush fire with multiple structures involved
1325hrs- Lakewood E-5 with an area 100X100 of brush with exposure problems
1337hrs- CMD req. NJSP to close the Garden State Parkway S/B. Fire burning east.
1345hrs- CMD rpts numerous spotting to the east, (2) structures involved I/A/O 5 Airport Road
1357hrs- NJFFs Zone 1 Task Force requested
1400hrs- (2) heavily involved commercial 1.5-2-story buildings in the complex at 150 Airport Road
1400hrs- Units rpt fire has jumped the parkway.
1406hrs- Command Post will be Blue Claws Stadium
1415hrs- NJFFS requesting (3) helos, (2) air tankers
1420hrs- Lakewood operating at (3) buildings at 150 Airport Road. (2) ladder pipes in operation. Fire through the roof of (2) buildings.
1430hrs- Additional companies req, to the northbound highway ramps to access the seat of the fire. Co's believe the head of the fire is contained but
1435hrs- Units operating structural protection at the power plant on Energy Way. Fire is burning up to the security wall.
1450hrs- M/A includes (not limited to) Toms River (District wide), Jackson (Township wide), Lacey (Township wide), Point Pleasant, Point Boro, Seaside Park, Seaside Heights, Island Heights, Barnegat Township (Tanker), Lavallette
1500hrs- Fire has passed the exit ramps off Cedar Bridge Ave. Structural protection responding to the neighborhood to the east behind Target.
1501hrs- Units rpt a dwelling involved at 57 Wedgewood Drive and a shed on Francis Road.
1508hrs- NJFFS Zone 5 Task Force req.
1545hrs-Units at Lowes (Route 70) rpt fire burning up to the rear of the building. Employees rpt the roof is on fire.
1558hrs- Rpt structure fire 521 James Road.
1601hrs- 521 James Road- E-4411 stretching a line
1607hrs- Jackson units toned out for townhome fire on Morning Glory Court unrelated to this incident.
1608hrs- Jackson transmitting 2nd Alarm for Morning Glory Court: Stations 54, 55, 56, 57, 39. Companies already have units assigned to Lakewood.
1613hrs- Brick Staging Area will be Lowes parking lot. (4) Engines and (1) ladder operating at the rear of the building.
1626hrs- Co's have spot fires on Cedarwood Drive north of Cedar Bridge. (2) additional engines responding.
1633hrs- Units requested to Cedar Bridge for flare up. Brick rpts no units left at Lowes staging.
