Well folks tommorow is the 20 year anniversary of the Lincoln Park Porch collapse. For those of you don't know about it, the collapse occured in the early morning hours of June 29th, 2003 at 713 West Wrightwood avenue in Chicago. 13 people were killed and several hundred were injured in the worst collapse of its kind in Chicago history. Allot of focus get put on the victims family and friends, but I wonder how the general public or the victims families would react if the knew how this affects the first responders? While 13 deaths is tragic I often think about how many lives were spared because of the quick thinking and quick actions of, CFD,CPD,bystanders, and medical staff. Feel free to share any addition thoughts. Thanks
