At 11:44 am today the Long Beach Fire Department was alerted for a report of a House Fire on Lindell Blvd., first arriving Chief Babich transmitted a Working Fire, the fire was located at the rear of the house.
Engine 2343 was first due, they took the hydrant at the corner of Lindell Blvd. and W. Olive St. And stretched first hose line to the rear house knocking down the fire. The crew of Engine 2344 stretched a second hose line into the first floor of the house while Tower Ladder 2372 was checking for extension.
We were assisted at the scene by the Point Lookout Lido FD, Island Park Fire Department, Oceanside NY Fire Department , Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department and Atlantic Beach Rescue.
The Oceanside, Woodmere Vol. Fire Department and Inwood Fire Department were standing by in our Firehouses in case of any other alarms.
There were no injuries and the fire is under the investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshals and the Long Beach Police Department, but is not considered suspicious.
All Operations were under the Command of Chief Hadrick Ray and Assistant Chiefs Marino and Babich.
