A Mexican Navy aircraft crashed on approach into Galveston Scholes Airport a couple of hours ago in the fog. This crash was in West Bay adjacent to the Gulf Freeway.
Galveston Sheriff's and Galveston FD had rescuers in 4-5 feet of water. Eight people were on board. There are four confirmed fatalities. This appears to be a flight transporting burned children into the Shriners Burn Hospital in Galveston.
