Two Firefighters were killed in the Line of Duty this morning on US 151 near Mile Marker 38 near Mineral Point., Wisconsin.
A Mineral Point FD apparatus was responding to a scene on US 151 early this morning, just after midnight. The truck was trying to use an emergency crossover when it was struck by a northbound semi-tractor trailer. The fire apparatus sustained major damage and caught fire due to the crash and the semi sustained serious damage as well. There were 2 Firefighters on the rig-and both were killed. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
