From what I understand they are expanding on the pilot program that E207 l110 have had for years. It announces the run and location without us doing it. They will be replacing our speakers and adding some type of alert lights. Also some sort of runners attached to sensor that will measure the time it takes to leave the house after a run comes in. They are supposed to be doing my house in a couple of weeks. I will find out more when it happens.

That figures, they're going to start timing and probably come down hard on the members in the stations for not responding fast enough but they are going to leave the UTC system like it is and let it take all the time it wants to getting calls to dispatch!

Are there any updates on houses that have had this system recently installed?  Thanks!

We've been using a similar system here in Va. Beach that started when we moved into our new house last year. We get a tone alert, LED scroll signs all over the firehouse that show the address, run type etc...A computer voice announces the run. We get the run about 15-30 seconds quicker than our previous method.

I have seen a lot of plans and blueprints for each house but haven't seen any work done.

About 10 seconds into the clip, apparently part of the new alerting system in place at E295/TL144's quarters.
