Incident Location: 1411 Plaza Avenue
On the morning of Monday, December 11th, 2023, the New Hyde Park Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Plaza Avenue off New Hyde Park Road. West Hempstead was designated the FAST for the operation and responded to the scene with Ladder 765. Firefighters stretched two hand lines and put one hand line into operation for a fire on the second floor of a two-story private dwelling. The fire was quickly knocked down and its cause is under investigation. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and there were no reported injuries. (Text Credit K2M)
