it may not be a glamorus new life for the truck but its alot better then it sitting in a junkyard or being made into a new toyota. 2 questions. 1 if anyone knows what company did this serve with and 2 does anyone else find it unusal that a tow truck company has red and blue lights?

The Mack was either Rescue 1 or 2, don't remember which.  As for the red and blues I believe they run an emergency response section as part of H.E.L.P. and various other whatnots.  They're pretty big upstate, sizeable fleet of wreckers and facilities.

Which Mack-Saulsbury rescue rig is it?

Rescues 1 & 5 had 1985 rigs

Rescues 3 & 4 had 1988 rigs

Rescue 2 had a 1990 rig, but that was totaled in a MVA with TL-111

He has had this rig a few years now. It was former Rescue-1's 1985 MR-8501................
