On the morning of Sunday, July 24th, 2022, the North Amityville Fire Company was dispatched to an automatic alarm at a commercial building on Adams Boulevard off Allen Boulevard. When first arriving, crews began to make their way into the unoccupied structure they encountered a significant smoke condition. After further investigation fire was found in a storage area. A working fire was transmitted, and mutual aid requested. Firefighters put two hand lines into operation and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down. The cause of the fire is under investigation. All fire department units were under the command of North Amityville Chief of Department Thomas Nelson [1-7-30]. Text & photos courtesy K2M Photography.
